Dr. Thomas Sult joins me to talk about Lyme disease, mold, gut health, testing, biofilms, resilience and why there is no one-size-fits-all approach to recovery.
Dr. Sult is a functional medicine physician with more than 35 years of clinical experience, an educator with the Institute for Functional Medicine, author of Just Be well, and co-founder with his wife, Elizabeth of the functional medicine practice Just Be Well.
We talk about his five-part approach to looking at the whole person, why two people with the same diagnosis may need very different support, and what can happen when we continue pushing through treatments or exercise when the body simply doesn't have the resilience to handle more.
We also dive into ways to build resilience, including sleep, mitochondrial health, and inflammation, and why a good treatment should ultimately help make your world bigger, not smaller.
